CS Corporate Advisors has advised Fragadís in the acquisition of Salinas Supermarket Group.

Fragadís, founded in 1959 and based in La Canonja (Tarragonés), is a retail distribution group that operates under the brands Spar, Eurospar and Fragadís. Associated with Euromadi purchasing center, it has a network of 140 supermarkets located mainly in the province of Tarragona, Barcelona and Castellón

In 2017, Fragadís registered sales of 170 million euros, which represented an increase of 8% compared to 2016, where it obtained sales of 157 million and a profit of 4,8 million euros.

Grupo Salinas, based in Binéfar, is an independent chain of supermarkets owning nine stores operating under the Salinas brand. The establishments are distributed between the provinces of Huesca and Lleida.

The acquisition of Salinas is part of Fragadís’ growth strategy in neighboring geographic areas, which is usually carried out with the purchase of distribution chains already established
